Prof. Osamu Matoba, Fellow of SPIE, Kobe University, Japan

In 1996, Prof. Osamu Matoba received the Ph.D. degree in applied physics from Osaka University, Osaka, Japan.
From 1996 to 2002 , was a Research Associate at the Institute of Industrial Science, University of Tokyo.
From 2002 to 2009, was an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Systems Engineering, Kobe University, Kobe, Japan.
Now a Professor in the Department of Systems Science, Graduate School of System Informatics, Kobe University. His research interests are in optical sensing including digital holography, holographic 3-D display, OCT, holographic memory, and scattering engineering. Dr. Matoba is a Fellow of SPIE, and members of the Optical Society of America (OSA), the Optical Society of Japan, the laser society of Japan, and the Japan Society of Applied Physics. He received the IEEE Donald G. Fink prized paper award in 2008.
