                    Keynote Speaker I

Dr. P. Arulmozhivarman

Dr. P. Arulmozhivarman received his Ph.D degree from NIT Trichy, India in 2005 and he did both M..Sc., and B.Sc., Degree in Applied Physics (Instrumentation) in Bharathidasan University Trichy, and secured gold medal for both the programs. Currently he is working as Associate Professor in Signal & Image Processing Division under the School of Electronics Engineering, Vellore Institute of Technology University (VIT), Vellore, India. Before joining the faculty of VIT, he was with NIT Trichy as a Senior Research Fellow in DRDO sponsored projects also served as Lecture in EIE Department in SASTRA University, Thanjavur during 1997-2000. He worked with DRDO scientists in the field of Imaging through atmospheric turbulence using Adaptive Optics system. He has successfully demonstrated the real time using Shack Hartmann based wavefront sensor for adaptive Optics system at IRDE, DehraDun, DRDO Lab. His research interest includes Biomedical Signal & Image Processing; Vision based surveillance system, Biometric detection system and Image Compression and Machine Vision system for NDT evaluation and quality checking. He has published more than 18 papers in National and International Journals and presently he is guiding 8 Ph.D candidates in the areas of Signal and Image processing.

Keynote Speaker II

Dr. P.V. Mohanram

Dr P V Mohanram did his BE (Mechanical) form BITS, Pilani. He completed his MTech (Machine Design) and Ph.D in the area of Tribology from IIT Madras, Chennai. After a brief period of work at Bharat Gears, Thane he joined PSG College of Technology, as faculty in the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the year 1981. Currently he is the Professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at PSG Tech. He is also currently the Dean (Autonomous Functioning). He has to his credit more than 90 publications in journals and conferences. His major fields of interest include design, automation, lean manufacturing and education. He has guided 10 Ph.D students and currently 8 are working under him. He has organized several national and international conferences. He has taken up many industrial consultancy activities with industries like PRICOL, LMW, ELGI, Ashok Leyland etc., He has actively participated in sixteen sponsored projects. He is currently involved in continuing education programmes for industries in the areas of Tolerance Engineering, Automation, Lean Manufacturing and Value Stream Mapping, Sensor – Interface based on virtual instrumentation. He has travelled extensively to various countries like UK, Japan and Germany etc. He has won several awards including the prestigious P K Das memorial best faculty award for the year 2010-2011 which was awarded by Nehru College of educational and charitable trust, Coimbatore. He is also responsible for the design and development of critical care medical ventilator indigenously with funding from Society of Bio-Medical Technology; the ventilator has been taken up for commercial production by PRICOL, Coimbatore.

Keynote Speaker III

Dr. Binu Sukumar

Dr. Binu Sukumar obtained B.Tech in Civil Engineering from Govt. College of Engineering, Trivandrum, India, and M.Tech in Structural Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.  She did research in the area of Self Compacting Concrete and obtained Ph.D from Anna University-Chennai, India in 2007. After serving three years in construction industry, she started her teaching career in the year 1994 as faculty of Civil Engineering in Hindustan College of Engineering, Chennai and served in her various capacities in Velammal Engineering College and Crescent Engineering College for more than 17 years. Presently she is heading the department of Civil Engineering, RMK Engineering College, Chennai, India. Her major field of interest includes Self compacting concrete, High performance concrete, Geo-polymer concrete, NDT Evaluation and quality testing of concrete structures and nano technology in Civil Engineering.   She has been member of the doctoral committee for several research scholars. She has published many papers in National and International Journals and Conferences. She has organized a number of National and International Conferences, workshops, short-term training programs, faculty development programs and so on.
