Keynote Speech I

Dr. A.M. RAWANI - Professor, Dean (Research & Faculty Development)

Dr. Rawani is Professor and Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering at National Institute of Technology (NIT), Raipur (India). He has received his M.Tech. in Industrial Engineering and Management from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and Ph.D. (Strategic IS Management) from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (India). He has more than 25 years of teaching experience in NIT/Govt. Engg.Colleges of India. He has delivered many invited lectures at the institutes of national repute. He has also worked as Dean (Administration) and currently holding the additional responsibility of Dean (Research  & Faculty Development) of NIT, Raipur.

Dr Rawani has published more than a dozen papers in International Journals, more than a dozen papers in National Journals and more than two dozen papers in International/National Conferences. His research interests include Flexibility in Business Management, IS Planning and ERP. He has visited Hoboken, NJ, USA in June’08 to present a research paper in International Conference on Flexible Enterprise in Global Business. He has also presented a research paper in Global Information Technology World Conference held in Dallas, USA in June’2001. Dr Rawani is the recipient of Best Management Case Award in 'GIFT CASE 2000' competition (executives category), organized by Global Institute of Flexible Systems Management. He has also received Best Paper Award in TECHNOLOGIA 2002 National Seminar. He has been nominated for 'Rashtriya Gaurav Award 2005’ and short-listed for 'Bharat Jyoti Award 2005’ and 'Bharat Jyoti Award 2006’ by India International Friendship Society. He has also been nominated consecutively for two years i.e. 2005 and 2006 for 'Best Citizen of India Award' by International Publishing House.

Dr. Rawani is a Life Member of Global Institute of Flexible Systems Management, Senior Member of International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology, Life Member of Institution of Engineers (India) and also Life Member of Indian Society for Technical Education (India).

Keynote Speaker II

Dr. Prasanta Kumar Padhy,
PROFESSOR - Management, Organizational Behaviour, Ethics, and Service Quality Areas.

Dr. Padhy is a Professor in the Department of Business Administration at Berhampur University (India), since 1999. He has received his Ph.D. (Business Administration) from Berhampur University (India), and completed FDP in Management (a One-year Full Time Residential Program) from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (India). He has 27 years of teaching experience in reputed Business Schools in India including the prestigious Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi (India), where he served as a full time Assistant Professor in Management prior to his joining Berhampur University. Earlier, he has served as the Head of the Department, Chairman- Board of Studies in Management, and the Member- Syndicate of Berhampur University. He is currently holding the additional responsibility as the Coordinator, International Collaboration Program of Berhampur University, and has been successful in developing the collaborative program in Management with the University of Riverside, California, USA. He has delivered many invited lectures at the institutes of national repute, and has earned credibility as a Corporate Trainer in Management. He is a life member (Institutional) of the Association of Indian Management Schools, and a Senior Member of the International Association of Computer Science and IT, Singapore.

Dr. Padhy has made significant contribution in the field of management through publication of half a dozen books/ book chapters, and over two dozen research articles published in refereed national/ international journals and conference proceedings. He has guided more than a dozen research scholars for the award of Ph. D degree, and two scholars for the award of Post Doctoral (D. Litt.) degree in Business Administration. He was invited as the Keynote Speaker to the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) sponsored International Seminar on “Privatization of Higher Education: Challenges and Quality Perspectives” (31st Oct.- 1st Nov., 2004), held at Raipur (India). He also chaired the International Conference on “Service Industry: Challenges and Opportunities” (13-14th September, 2006), held at Rusayl, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.  He was a Chairperson of the International Seminar on “Organized Retailing: Boon or Bane” (3-5th Jan., 2009) held at New Delhi. Dr. Padhy was invited as the Chairperson of the National HR Conference- 2006 (30th Nov.- 2nd Dec.) organized by ITM Business School, at Navi Mumbai (India), and as the Distinguished Speaker in the Central Regional Conference of Indian Institute of Materials Management, at Nagpur (India).
